Designed to run on the standard Sur Ron bike as a direct swap in battery, increasing the range over 200%
Use your standard controller (no real power increase – just range) or swap out your controller and set it to 165A DC (for ASI can be set at 11500W) and phase max at 400A. Use with the: ASI BAC2000, ASI BAC4000 or ASI BAC8000 and Nuclear controllers (any 60v capable controller); have a safe and genuine fast bike that will give heaps of range and fun. The battery is very similar design as its fast brother, but using a different cell and configuration to give maximum range without being crazy tall. We have given this battery a huge range. Perfect for trail riding or long distance commuting.
These are designed to go straight into a standard bike with X controller or for bikes that are set at 165A DC 400A phase.
Please note on L1e Bikes, orange warning lights will flicker on the main display (we cover them up and they have no effect on the bike) and a small error code will appear on the display – there is no fix for this. Use the voltmeter included to know battery state of charger – empty at 48V
If this battery is to be used by a third party controller, Max setting 165A. DC Phase 400PhA, Watts 11500 (but not continuous)
This will work perfectly with the original X Controller but still only taking 4-5000 watts (you need a bigger controller for more power).
High Power Sur Ron Battery 16S13P 60v 3780Wh 63Ah Panasonic 21700 cell (4800 mAh per cell), with ANT bluetooth BMS (works on IOS and Android) designed to fit inside the Sur Ron battery compartment utilizing the existing battery tray. The Cells are genuine branded cells specifically designed for large capacity storage and reliability. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 208 cells that retail in the UK for around £6 each! not including: BMS, fabrication and shipping taxes.
The whole battery is fitted in hand made stainless steel case designed to handle those inevitable and hopefully not painful “Offs” with hard off road rides and giving masses more protection. The casing is powder coated inside and out.
The battery does not have an integrated volt meter. If you are using this with a standard controller, a handlebar voltmeter is supplied and can be simply plugged into the charge port of the battery to show voltage (empty at 48V). For after market controllers, that show battery voltage (like ASI) the volt meter is not required.
Some versions of the Sur Ron controllers may go into limp mode if using this battery with no communication port (not using an aftermarket controller). This will need a very simple mod to the plug that normally connects to the battery. Please see the photo of the battery communication connector and the two pins that are crossed with a simple piece of: wire, or spade connector or similar piece of conductive metal. Note the area circled in red.
For bike that do not have a display to show voltage, We include a handlebar mounted display to be located on the throttle side. Simply plug into the charge port of the battery when riding.
